This DIY tutorial will provide a professional “look and feel” for your website.

After completing this tutorial please visit our DIY Tutorials page and start to add content to your website such as a dynamic welcome page, a logo, a contact form, and a blog.

The tutorial assume you have already prepared your base website using GoDaddy website hosting and WordPress as the content management platform.

WordPress comes with default “look and feel” which is called a “theme”. The default themes are fine for non commercial use, but if you want a professional looking site you will need to purchase a theme.

We recommend that Avada theme which costs just $55. With over 47,000 users it has the economies of scale to provide great features and great free support, at a great price. TheConnectedSmallBusiness.com website is built using the Avada theme. To get an idea of the potential of the theme see the Avada demo site at http://theme-fusion.com/avada/.

This tutorial will provide instructions on how to purchase and install the Avada theme.

1. Go to http://themeforest.net. Themeforest is a market place for buying website “look and feel” themes. Enter for “Avada” in the top right search box.
